Josh Loop serves as the Director of Veterans Services at California State University San Marcos. A proud graduate of the U.S. Coast Guard Academy, the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, and CSUSM, he holds both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, along with an MBA. During his nine years in the U.S. Coast Guard, Josh held key leadership roles including Assistant Chief Engineer, Deck Watch Officer, and Lead Regional Port Engineer. He brings deep expertise in engineering and a strong track record of service-driven leadership to his role at VNC, where he plays a vital role in forging strategic partnerships across government and industry.

Moses Maddox serves as the Recruitment and Talent Manager at Veterans to Naval Careers. A proud alumnus of California State University San Marcos, he earned a degree in Social Sciences with a Philosophy minor, and later completed a Master of Science in Organizational Leadership from Colorado State University. Since 2012, Moses has been dedicated to supporting veterans, drawing on over a decade of experience and eight years of Marine Corps service as a financial management technician, graves registration specialist, and civil affairs specialist. As a skilled mentor and LinkedIn expert, Moses is passionate about helping veterans confidently navigate their professional journeys and achieve success.

Stephanie Trevino is our Data Analyst at Veterans to Naval Careers. As a proud graduate of California State University San Marcos with a degree in Psychology, Stephanie has a strong background in supporting student success. During her time at CSUSM, she served as the President of the Student Veterans Organization and the lead mentor for the professional development program at VNC. With eight years of experience in the Marine Corps as a supply admin and operations specialist, Stephanie is a knowledgeable resource for student training and is an expert in Salesforce.

Fernando Green is our Business Coordinator at Veterans to Naval Careers. As the main point of contact for VNC interns, Fernando manages program administration procedures to ensure smooth operations. Holding a degree in business administration with a focus on management and human resources from California State University San Marcos (where he graduated with honors), Fernando brings a wealth of expertise to the role. Prior to joining VNC, Fernando served as an infantryman in the US Army for five years.

Ray’Quise Underwood serves as a Marketing & Communications Intern at Veterans to Naval Careers (VNC), where he supports branding, digital content, video production, marketing materials, and outreach. His work includes creating visual and promotional content, supporting VNC’s brand development, and communicating programs and opportunities to veterans, students, and university partners. Ray’Quise is currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing and a minor in Arts, Design & Media at California State University San Marcos. A U.S. Navy veteran with six years of service, he brings leadership, discipline, creativity, and a strong understanding of the veteran community to his work at VNC.
