INTERN STORIES | DAN ORTEZA
MONTEREY, CA – Veterans to Naval Careers (VNC) Intern Dan Orteza works on the inside of a supersonic wind tunnel that tests the properties of supersonic structures, in Monterey, California, November 15, 2024. The purpose of this experiment is to model what happens inside a supersonic vehicle when back pressure is applied to the combustion chamber. With this research, NPS hopes to mitigate flying risks for our nation’s pilots flying supersonic vehicles. (Photo by VNC Marketing Intern Deseree Campbell)
